This year, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh announced a three-year Bachelor’s degree in medical and science, photography and imaging, in a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country.
Quoting the officials, the objective of introducing this program, with classes to commence in September, is to school aspirants across the nation on how to use photographic applications, medical animation and how to develop audio-visual content for patient care, and digital illustrations, medical education and research.
Manju Wadwalkar, the official spokesperson of PGIMER, told the print and electronic media, that the course has been named BSc in Medical Animation and Audio-visual Creation. 15 seats for this course, as told by the officials. 10 of them, will be selected through an entrance exam. While other 5 are reserved for sponsored candidates and foreign nationals.
