Get Ready For IBPS-SO (Specialist Officer) Exam 2016-2017

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has scheduled Specialist Officer Examination in January 2017. IBPS recruits Special Officers in several cadres like IT, Law, HR, etc. Since IBPS SO Exam is to be held in January 2017, the process of registration will start by the last week of November 2016.

Candidates must qualify following eligibility criteria to appear in IBPS SO Exam:

  1. Minimum age limit is 21 while maximum is 30.
  2. Age relaxation is provided to reserved categories.
  3. They must have completed their graduation before applying for IBPS SO 2016-2017.

IT Officers

Graduation: 4 year BE/Btech in IT/CSE/ECE/Electronics and Telecommunication/ Electronics and Instrumentation

Or

Post Grad in any of the above stream

Agriculture Field Officer

4 year degree in Agriculture or related subjects

HR/ Personnel Officer

Any UG and PG in HR/HRD/ Social work/Industrial relations

Marketing Officer

2 years degree in MBA/MMS/PGDBA/PGDBM (Marketing)

Law Officer

Degree in LLB and enrolled as advocate in Bar Council

Exam Pattern of IBPS SO 2016-2017:
Specialist Officer Exam has four fundamental sections covered. They are reasoning ability, english language, quantitative ability and professional knowledge. The total time allotted to exam is 2 hours. To learn the division of marks, refer to following tables:

Negative Marking in IBPS SO Exam 2016-2017:
There is a penalty for every wrong answer in IBPS SO Exam. Each wrong answer costs deduction of 0.25 marks. There are no deductions for unattended questions in this exam.

Applying for IBPS SO 2016-2017:

  • You might be eligible for more than one post but you should specify only one.
  • Fee is paid through internet banking, credit or debit cards.
  • As a proof of successful payment do not forget to print the e-receipt after funds transfer.

Application Fee of IBPS SO Exam:

  • Rs 100 for SC/ST/OBC
  • Rs 600 for others
